Shaft
Trimming Charts
How
To Determine Which Chart To Use:
1. Locate you shaft on the web site
2. Locate your chart number, listed under "Use
Trimming Chart" for each shaft
3. Find the correct chart below.
Note:
- All
measurements are in inches cut from the tip end
unless otherwise specified.
- Butt
trim to length after tip trimming, unless otherwise
noted. Total length includes the club head.
- Before
making any cuts, be sure that trimming according
to these directions will allow the club to be made
to the desired length. If not, speak to our technical
staff for the recommended adjustments.
Example:
To trim a UDGIR300 True Temper
Dynamic Gold shaft for a #2 Iron
1. Look at the True
Temper Dynamic Gold shaft, UDGIR300, by clicking here.
2. Follow the chart
over to the column "Use Trimming Chart"
which says to use Chart 1.
3. Looking at Chart 1 below, the intersection
for a #2 on Chart 1 is 0.50. Trim
0.50" from the tip of the shaft.

Instructions
for Combination Flex Shafts for Chart 10
The tip trimming chart above will yield
the weaker of the two flexes in combination flex shafts.
To achieve the firmer of the tow flex options in a
combination flex shaft, add the following length to
the recommended tip trip: To get an "S
Flex", add 2 " (steel), or 1"
(graphite) to the above recommendation. For a "A
Flex" in A/L combination shafts add
1" for both steel and graphite.
Note: Combination flex refers to those
shafts which can be made different flexes depending
on how the shaft is trimmed.
Chart
10a
For
the UTTXLWC and USNTTXLWC. Add 1" to the above
measurements for regular flex and 3" to the above
measurements for stiff flex. (Example: to achieve
a regular flex in a standard bore 5 wood with a UTTXLWC,
take 3.25" off the tip.)
